Excellent restaurant, located in wonderful surroundings, we had table outside. Really enjoyed Rosa spritz , salad with beef, ice cream with apple strudel . Waiters were friendly and efficient. We didn’t wait long for drinks and food.

Usually a good place with good food, but today, 28.08 (photos attached), it is closed with no notice on their website, or in Google, or at restaurant. As a result, all expectations to warm up after long swim prior rain were totally ruined...
The restaurant has an amazing location directly at the Thumsee with indoor seating but also seaside terrace. The ambiance is neat and traditional, somewhat upscale. The menu is regional traditional and food quality is above average but not spectacular. Aspargus soup and Hollandaise sauce were both too fluid. Service wasn't always smooth and attempts to iron it out by being overly "smart" did initially not work out but it improved somewhat. Price level is a bit high but understandable with this unique location.
Excellent soup and service at this restaurant. The Erdäpfel soup was some of the best I’ve had. It’s the perfect hearty treat after a hike, and the surroundings could not be lovelier.
